Lifted, By My Girls!

Release Date 2/2/26!

Here's how she's starting!

You are not alone in your breast cancer diagnosis, we’re here to help you through it. Welcome to the unfortunate but fortunate group of bad ass women with breast cancer. I say that as the bond between survivors is fierce.  In all of my interviews of breast cancer survivors out making a difference in the world (BTW if you were just diagnosed you are considered a survivor so don't say I’m not!) we all feel the same way after winning our battle, we’re grateful to be a alive and grateful for the journey. Cancer changed something within us, it reminded us of how precious our life is, to be grateful for moments such as a sunrise or sunset, to be kind to  ourselves and others, to worry about work less and make sure to use up all those vacation days, to be present more and let the small stuff go.

I know you may read above and tell me to go jump in a lake ( I don’t know if thats as strong as the swear word I would have put in there a year ago but Im working on not cursing so just go with it with me!!!) because you're pissed right now, you're confused and you're scared, but we are all here to share our journeys with you to help you through your journey. I was unfortunately fortunate when I was diagnosed because of what I had done for a living, I was able to hear so many stories, so many different types of diagnoses, so many different treatment choices, so many different end results and a slew of emotions.  I took the journeys of other Lifters and pieced them together and created my own story.

In life, we need three types of friends, one older, one our age and one younger, or put another way, a friend who’s been-there-done-that, one in the trenches with you and one you can be a teacher to. We need our wiser friend to learn from and be encouraged by. They tell us we can get through it, they got through it. The friend in the trenches is with you, so you know you’re not alone, you encourage each other to keep going, you share words of wisdom from your been-there-done-thats and you keep fighting together. You get each others pain. Your student is there so that you get to be a LIGHT to another, one of our best gifts from God, to be a beacon, to encourage, to cheer, to teach. You get to guide them and be the example of what life is like after the hump.  I hope and pray that “Lifted, By My Girls” will be all of these friends for you during this chapter. And as a 53 year old who has been-there-done-that,  you need these friends throughout marriage, parenthood, taking care of an elderly parents and menopause too!

But, let me stay on topic, as much as my mind likes to talk about 30 things at once and discussing menopause, we are here for you right now, to get you through this #unfortunatelyfortunateclub, you have breast cancer, breast cancer does not have you! I hope you will read on to hear our stories, to consume our lessons, to learn from our mistakes,  to FIGHT and create the journey and outcome you hope and pray for.
